Under 12.1 Girls A Grade Finals

The Under 12.1 Girls performed admirably at the Australia Day Tournament, winning all but one of their group games to make it through to the finals.

The team is made up of players from the Falcons Development program, and some returning Falcons players in their second season, and is coached by long time Falcons Big V player Claire Landby.

The weekend started on an exciting night with a nail biting one point win over Kilsyth. The momentum of that result was halted by Sandringham the next morning in the form of a 20 point loss, however the girls bounced back to take care of South Australia's Southern Tigers by 29 on Saturday afternoon.

Sunday was a good day for the girls, getting quality wins against Melbourne and Nunawading, setting up a quarter final clash with Knox.

The Knox girls were too strong on this occasion for the Falcons, however the result will no doubt provide motivation for their next meeting.
