Under 12.2 Girls First Ever Tournament

The Under 12.2 Girls, Coached by Dominic Marshall, got their first taste of tournament hoops on the weekend. The girls had a great time and appear to have learnt a lot from the experience. Thanks to Jane Munro for sending in this report from the weekend:

The Eltham tournament was the first basketball tournament for this Under 12 (Waverley 2) team and it was a steep learning curve! They had mixed results with 2 draws, 3 losses and a win but all games were close and the girls thrived on the competition. We saw a huge improvement in their skills and in how well they played as a team over the course of the weekend. Best of all they attacked each game with enthusiasm, learnt from their mistakes and had fun. Congratulations to Emily Niklas who received a Most Determined Player recognition. Huge thanks to coach Dominic Marshall, to Sherrie Irwin who assisted and to all the parents who supported their girls.
