Family Day a Real Hit

The first annual Falcons Family Day proved very popular among the Junior Falcons community and the Senior Falcons Big V teams last Sunday.

The day started with Senior Falcons players joining the junior teams at training throughout the morning, passing on some knowledge and experience to the young players.

With the barbeque lit up and the drinks on ice, the Senior teams prepared for their green vs gold games, pitting the Victorian Youth Championship teams against the Big V Championship teams.

The VYC Women'steam took full advantage of a nice little head start, to hold off the State Championship Women in an up tempo contest.

The men's game was up next, and despite a blistering second quarter from the State Championship Men, the young guys were again able to hold onto their lead for a narrow win.

Thanks to everyone who helped with the organising the day and those who volunteered at the event, as well as the Falcons junior and senior players for supporting the event.

MindIT systems produced a nice video about the day, which can be viewed here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_K7JK4Nonjo
