The Waverley Big V teams continue their finals campaign this week.
The Championship Men and Women both head to Ringwood for what is sure to be one of the biggest nights of Basketball that place has seen in a long time.
The Falcons Women weren't given much of a chance heading into Game One of the best of three series against top team Ringwood, however after three quarters the Falcons were in it up to their eye balls, before fading late. Playing to keep their season alive, the Falcons will throw everything at the Hawks to try and force a deciding Game Three back at Ringwood on Sunday.
The Men follow up as the Falcons take on the Hawks in an everything-on-the-line elimination game. The situation is simple: win and go through to the Grand Final, lose and go home. The season series is tied at one apiece, and the Falcons came up with the goods last week in their first elimination final against McKinnon. Last time they played however the Hawks let it rain from the three point line. This is sure to be a game with many, many points scored and heaps of talent across both teams.
Finally on Sunday afternoon at Kilsyth, the Falcons Youth Championship Men face of with the Cobras in the Victorian Youth Championship Grand Final. The Falcons scored an upset win at Knox last weekend to book their place in the big dance, and the last time they faced Kilsyth, the Cobras won a barnburner of a game by just one point. This promises to be a fast paced, athletic contest with some of the best young players in Australia taking the court..
