Macleod wins Back-to-Back Hops POW Award

Kathleen Macleod had an impressive double-header weekend for the Waverley Falcons to take out her second consecutive ‘Hops’ Player of the Week award.
 
In the Falcons first game for the weekend, Dandenong upset the ladder leaders holding them to 44 points of which Macleod shot 29 points. In Sunday’s game, Waverley bounced back with a 20 point over Eltham with Macleod hitting 21 points and having 6 assists.
 
From the Eltham vs Waverley game, Wildcats playing-coach Michelle Couling said Macleod “was a clear standout during the game and made some tough shots when it counted.”

Other contenders this weekend included:

  • Dandenong Rangers Faith Probst had a consistent weekend with 15 points to lead her team’s win over Waverley and then 16 points in an MVP game against Sandringham.
