The fixtures for the five Grading Rounds have now been completed and are up on the website for viewing. You can view the fixtures in the 'Junior Domestic' section of the website.
Please be aware of the following important notes regarding this season’s fixtures:
Under 16: We have had to move some Under 16 timeslots to Sunday Afternoon, to avoid playing late into Saturday Night. At this stage four Under 16 Sections have Sunday games, please ensure teams in these grades check their fixture carefully as it includes both Saturday and Sunday dates. The IT system does not allow us to round a round over multiple days, so each day is recorded as a separate round. Teams should ignore the round listed and look closely at the Date, Time and Court of their games. The sections and teams with Sunday games may change after grading, so all teams in Under 16 should still be prepared to play on a Sunday at some stage.
Split/Combined Sections: As a result of team entries, we have been forced to combine sections in the higher grades, and split sections in the lower grades. Clubs are now entering the majority of their teams into the middle and lower grades, which makes it very difficult to have consistent grade sizes through the competition while keeping in line with what clubs requested.
Teams in different sections to what was requested: In extreme cases, teams may be placed in a section higher or lower than what was originally indicated by the club. We have tried to keep this to a minimum but in an effort to make all of our grade sizes fit into the schedule, movement has occurred for some teams. If the team has been placed in an inappropriate section, this will be rectified through the grading period.
Grading: We do a thorough review each results in each grade after every round of the Grading Period. There are always some lopsided results and while this can be tough on the kids, it is a necessary part of the process to ensure all teams end up in the correct grade. Please don't panic if their results are a bit extreme either way.
