The Knox Raiders continued their impressive start to the season last night defeating Waverly on the road to maintain an untarnished record and number 1 spot on the table. Led by a season-high 18 points from Esther Timmermans and 13 from Claire McLeod, the Raiders took a first-quarter lead and never relinquished it.

Game MVP Leanda Higgs caught the attention of both coaches by grabbing 9 rebounds, 7 on the offensive end. Stephanie Groom and Claire Landby led the Falcons with 11 and 10 points respectively but the Raiders’ balanced attack, including 19 bench points proved too much in the end.
