The Waverley Falcons Championship Women's team have received a massive boost with the signing of Canberra Capitals Forward Brigitte Ardossi for the 2013 season.

Ardossi is having a superb season for the Caps, announcing herself as one of the permier forwards in the WNBL, with averages on 12 points and eight rebounds per contest.

The signing of Ardossi is a massive step forward for the Falcons Women, who endured a learning year in 2012 as the majority of the group played their first full season of State Championship Women, after their SYCW title in 2011.

In Ardossi, the Falcons get not only a very high quality player, but an experienced presence whose time spent playing in both Australia and the USA will be invaluable for the young Falcons squad.

The Falcons are busy in pre-season training, with Coach Elias Palioyiannis preparing the team for another season of up-tempo Basketball, a style of play they have become widely known for. As the season draws nearer, the Falcons will play a series of practice games, and compete in the Big V Pre-Season Tournament.
