Eltham Wildcats 56 dft Waverley Falcons 52
IT WAS a team effort from sixth-placed Eltham which provided them the ability to snag an upset against second-placed Waverley on Saturday night.
With all nine of their players having an impact on the game, the Wildcats were able to bring about the victory.
But it was not handed to them on a silver platter, with Falcons never more than 10-points behind their opponent.
Eltham was lead by Michelle Couling, with a handy 15 points and six boards, whilst last week’s player of the week Kylie Steven showed her presence with nine points and eight boards with Sarah Lang and Natasha Main managing seven points apiece.
For the Falcons, it was Larissa Anderson who collected the bulk of the points, hitting a game-high 22 and pulling in seven boards.
She was offered goof support from Kathleen MacLeod, who hit nine points, pulled-in seven boards while Julie Brookhouse showed her presence with eight points.
