Waverley Falcons 109 dft Eltham Wildcats 83

THE Falcons made themselves very much at home on Saturday night at the Waverley Basketball Stadium, turning it on to take a 26-point victory against the Wildcats.
Led by Ivan Platenik (26 points, 11 boards) it was Waverley who secured a three-point lead at quarter time
Despite advances by the Wildcats, the Falcons were able to hold a four-point lead at the major break, extending this to 10-points by three-quarter time and blew it out to 26-points by the finals buzzer.
With notable efforts from Brad Hill (19 points, 15 boards), Chris Cameron (17 points) as well as James Anderson and Simon Blennerhassett with 15 points apiece, the Falcons’ man power was too much for the visitors to overcome.
Waverley held the board contest, snagging 67 to Eltham’s 39.
Eltham’s attack was led by Nick Jones (24 points, six boards) with Luke Egan producing 21 points and Jeremy Datson showing his presence with 11 points.
The Wildcats were without Adam Moore, who was a notable absentee from the Eltham outfit.
