IT WAS a stellar 51 points from Waverley’s Ivan Platenik on Saturday night at The Arc which earned him the player of the week title.
Platenik managed the feat at an impressive 77 per cent shooting percentage from the field. He also supplied a reliable set of hands when shooting for the bonus, hitting 17 from 22 at the free-throw line.
It was the Platenik-lead assault which left Warrnambool 13 rounds in and winless for the season.
As well as his precision shooting, Platenik pulled-in eight boards, dished off five assists was crafty with five steals and drew 11 fouls on the opposition to help the Falcons to the 63-point victory.
Platenik’s points boosted the Energy outfit and went a considerable way to enhancing the side’s percentage.
