Illegal Players

The WBA are currently dealing with a large number of issues relating to teams playing players illegally.

This relates to teams who:

-Do not properly register players with the WBA.

-Play players under false names.

-Allow players to play for more than one team in a nightly competition.

-Record players on the scoring monitor who are not present at the game.

The WBA will continue to record forfeits against teams who breach WBA bylaws by committing the above offences. Playing illegal players poses problems to administration in identifying which players played for a team on a particular night.

Admistrative issues caused by playing illegal players also become pertinant in incidents such as injuries and reports.

Other issues caused by illegal players include comprimising the finals qualification system and creating an unfair inbalance in our Domestic Competitions.

The WBA takes a hard line approach to teams playing illegal players, many results have been reversed in recent weeks and as finals approaches, breaches of WBA by-laws such as this will not be tolerated.
