Waverley 62 dft. Bulleen 33
THE Falcons have bounced back from their last two losses with a confident win against bottom team Bulleen.
Caitlin Hindle earned herself MVP honours, scoring 14 points as Waverley dominated at the ring. Meanwhile, the Boomers will need to work on their shooting accuracy ahead of a tough match-up against Nunawading next week, making only 17 per cent of field goals and none of their three point shots during this round’s match.
With a secure sixth win under their belt, the Falcons are in a good position ahead of their double-header against Melbourne and Sandringham next round while Bulleen will be eager for a fourth win.
Game MVP: Caitlin Hindle (Waverley Falcons)
Hume City 59 dft. Waverley 32
HUME City have finished off a successful double-header with a victory over the number nine Falcons.
After a close start to the match between both teams, the Broncos sped off to a solid lead, in the end winning by 27 points. Bronco Katherine Black earned herself MVP honours for the match, with 16 points. The Falcons reached only 20 precent of their field goals and none of their three pointers and will need to be able to make more of their shots in order to bring a stronger performance to their double-header next week.
Hume City will no doubt be feeling confident ahead of their match against number seven team Kilsyth next week, meanwhile the Falcons will be aiming to bounce back even stronger next week after a mixed double-header result.
