Waverley Falcons 78 dft Geelong Cats 71
WITH Kathleen MacLeod kept to just one point by Geelong it was up to Waverley to find some depth.
And depth they found in Julie Brookhouse (18 points) and Lil Keane (15 points) with Larissa Anderson and Carleigh Egan (14 points apiece) also making an impact on the game and showing there’s more to their side then MacLeod alone.
Prue Kenny led the Cats’ charge, snaring a game-high 20 points, while Candice Rodgers (13 points) and Sarah Liebelt (12 points) offered good support but it wasn’t enough for the visitors with the Falcons snagging the lead in the second quarter and running with it for the majority of the match.
Game MVP: Carleigh Egan (Waverley Falcons)
