Waverley 18.5 boys fought it out for a very hard physical match against Westernport 3.
We trailed early and at one stage we were down by 9 points, but we fought our way back in to the match and levelled the score just in to the second half. It was a nail biting match goal for goal - we were quick to take opportunity of a loose ball thrown by them and scored to take the lead. Pressure was starting to take it's toll and with the opposition to throw in (10 sec remaining) they passed poorly, we snatched the opportunity, missed the shot...the ball went off and
was grabbed by Waverley and held!! We got the win!! Winning by 2 points.
The Most Valuable Player was awarded to Robert Millard who played very well and converted free shots under enormous pressure. Well done Rob!
