IN A four-quarter thriller Latrobe City managed to slide over the line and deliver the Falcon’s their fifth straight loss.
Helped along by a massive 46 points from Rhys Carter (at 60 per cent from the field including five three-pointers and five assists) Latrobe City managed to take victory in a game which was full of desperation.
Carter was offered solid support from Jeff Reid who piled on 19 points for the visitors whilst captain/coach Vashon Weaver dropped-in a handy 12 points.
For the Falcons, a stellar double double (25 points, 20 boards) from Ivan Platenik was almost enough to get them over the line, with Matt Burston offering solid numbers at 24 points and 14 boards, whilst Simon Blennerhassett managed a handy 20 points.
