Sporting Pulse takes Big V Mobile

SportingPulse have today taken BigV mobile, launching a mobile web app to support the enormous demand already achieved by www.bigv.com.au.

Available on any internet mobile device, m.bigv.com.au is now available via your device browser, and is the first of the SportingPulse’s new generation of mobile web applications to be launched in basketball.

The first of these new applications, launched two weeks ago for the Eastern Football League, attracted over 1500 unique browsers in the first weekend of launch.

BigV CEO Raelene Whitten was surprised when SportingPulse delivered what she said was “a present” for the league.

“SportingPulse told us a week or so they had a surprise coming for us, and then rang and us asked to check the address on our mobile phones, Nathan, Callum and I all sat here and tested the new site for 10 minutes and found everything completely up to date!”

SportingPulse CEO Nick Maywald said that the BigV’s massive user base was a key reason for launching the new app.

“The BigV had over 100,000 visits in May, and we reckon 35% of those Browsers will have an internet enabled mobile device, so all we are doing here is meeting customer demand”.

“We are backing grassroots sport right across Australia, and basketball league’s like BigV really do provide technology solutions otherwise unparalleled in Australian sport – you don’t see comparable leagues in other sports providing their fans with functionality like livestats for example”

Whitten said the best thing about the new web app was that it would work on multiple devices, “this works on iPhones, android devices and other smart phones, there is no need to download an app or visit a store – anyone can be online in moments, and content we publish to bigv.com.au automatically flows through to the mobile application.”

Getting there:

Go to your internet browser on your mobile application
Type in m.bigv.com.au
Go to the website

For our more advanced users!

Save the new web application as a favourite on your phone
Create a short cut of the favourite and launch it from your home screen

(as usual, users should be conscious that applications like this use mobile broadband on smartphones, and ensure you regular monitor your mobile usage.)
