Ringwood 91 defeated Waverley 80

Heading into this clash, both squads were full of talent and clearly raring to go at the tip. But it was the Hawks who settled quicker, showing the team cohesion that propelled them to the top of the ladder in the regular season.
In the second term it was much the same story. Ringwood continued to score with ease, cutting up the Falcon’s defence with quick passes and dead eye shooting from all over the court. But the Falcons hung tight, coming out of the long change with some added intensity. Sedale Threatt was sizzling, using his unbelievable dribbling skills to get by his defender time and time again as the Falcons trailed by 12 points heading into the final term.
The final quarter was played at a frantic pace with both teams pushing the tempo at every opportunity. Luke McMillan showed why he was is possibly the best big in the league as he improved with every counting minute, his tally finishing with 26 points and 8 rebounds as the Hawks ran Waverley out of the gym to record an 11 point victory.
Sedale Threatt was easily the most dangerous Falcon on the court with 23 points, 9 boards and 5 assists while Mark Whitehead showed how invaluable experience is with his 14 point line in 16 minutes of game time
