Youth League Women
Waverley 70 defeated Diamond Valley 66
The Waverley Falcons have signalled their intentions in season 2010 after knocking over the previously undefeated and dominant Diamond Valley Eagles by four points. The competitions biggest scalp wasn't easily beaten though, thrashing it out for the entire game before running out of momentum in the final stages of the game.
Caitlin Hindle was the leading scorer for Waverley with 13, but had plenty of help with 3 teammates finishing with ten. The win ultimately came from the lack of help Amy Faulkner and Rebecca Romeo had. They had 21 points each but there wasn't much after that in what was a fantastic game of ball.

With Dexter a no-show, Melbourne Tigers feasted on the Falcons on both ends of the court, doing all sorts of damage with their big and powerful unit. Both teams threw the ball away a lot, accumulating numerous turnovers, but it was the Tigers scoring ability that got the job done in the end. Ben Kelly did the damage with 18 points for the Tigers while Abram Hothnyang led the Falcons with 15 points and 5 boards.
