Melbourne 65 defeated Waverley 53
Melbourne Tigers prevailed against a Falcons team that struggled after the first quarter. After leading 20 to 10 at the end of the first, the Falcons did not score for the first 7 minutes of the second quarter. The Tigers were consistent in the final three quarters with some great shooting from Brancatisano and some strong points from Janes. Hindle tried to ignite the Falcons offence with back to back 3 pointers, however the Tigers were able to hold them off. The Wright sisters put in a good all round game with 10 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists from Sarah and 10 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists from Gemma.
