Diamond Valley 83 defeated Waverley 74
With the teams in a titanic arm-wrestle for the first three quarters of the game, it was the Diamond Valley Eagles who held their nerve to grab a 9 point win away from home. Adam Moore and Warwick Straw were the difference, both dropping 19 points while Waverley star Ivan Platenik caused headaches all night with 22 points. But that individual effort wasn’t enough as the Eagles got the job done in the final quarter when it counted.

Big man Benn chipped in with a useful 21 points and 10 rebounds to help get his team over the line. Lewis and Qaafow were effective in offense with 28 points and 21 points respectively. This was not enough to get his team over the line due to a number of cheap turnovers resulting in easy transition baskets for the Falcons.
