The Annual Big V Pre Season Tournament was held over the long weekend at Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre MSAC with fantastic Waverley results.

A fantastic weekend of games for the Championship Men's Waverley team, the men played well although down in numbers without a full squad remained strong in two tight contest to get two wins in preseason action, showing plenty of character and promise both offensively and defensively. New additions to our squad this year Sedale Threatt Jnr, Vashon Weaver, Senad Deravic & Marc Goodwin along with the stars from last years team Ivan Platenik, Simon Blennerhasset & Kevin Benn and our solid nucleus of waverley junior players returning. The falcons are working very hard in the preseason, ramping up for a BIGV Championship season to remember, this season playing an exciting brand of basketball, ensuring they are a legitimate contender for the premiership in 2010..
Come along and show your support for Waverleys first home game on Saturday 20th March vs Diamond Valley. Tip off at the Waverley Nest for the State Championship Women is at 6.30pm and the Men at 8.30pm. Our goal this season is to fill the stands at every home game this year and we cannot achieve this without your support.. GO FALCONS!!!
