The Falcons have ended their three match losing streak, with a victory over Melbourne this week, who now drop down to bottom place on the ladder.
Waverley led for most of the match, with Leanda Higgs and Caitlin Hindle making almost half of their team’s points. The Tigers fought to catch up and despite getting within one point of the Falcons in the third quarter, were unable to overcome them.
Melbourne will be determined to get another win this season but will have a lot of work ahead of them in a tough double header weekend next round against Hume City and Dandenong.
