Dandenong 70 dft Waverley 67
THIS second versus third class was everything it was billed to be, with the game going right down to the wire. With 22 lead changes and 11 tied situations, the Sunday afternoon match was a taste of finals basketball. Kathleen MacLeod was stellar for the Falcons, hitting a game-high 27 points, while Suzi Porter showed her presence with 13 points and nine boards. It was a combined effort from Dandenong which resulted in the win. Faith Probst led the charge with 14 points, with good support from Fazlyn Hartley and Amelia Todhunter (10 points apiece). Waverley coach Matthew Dickens was disappointed his side didn’t get over the line.
“This game is just frustrating sometimes,” Dickens said.

She was assisted by Suzi Porter and Larissa Anderson who managed 13 points apiece. Falcons’ Michelle Brogan was stellar for the visitors, hitting 21 points at 70 percent and pulling in 10 boards.
