Melbourne Tigers 55 dft Waverley Falcons 49
It was the Tigers’ who took the court ready to play – and the Tigers’ who collected Round 11’s Game of the Week.
Melbourne coach Sarah Nobbs said despite Waverley’s late advances, the Tigers’ stuck to their game-plan. “It was a tough win against a quality team,” Nobbs said.
For the Tigers’ it was the capable Hope Terdich who was the stand-out, hitting 12 points and collecting seven rebounds. She was assisted by Bec Campagli (10 points, five rebounds).
For the Falcons, it was Alex Lough who shone with a game-high 15 points and five rebounds, whilst Suzi Porter managed 11 points and seven rebounds.
Waverley coach Mark Chivers said it was a scrappy match, his opposition playing with more intensity and deserving the win.
