Congratulation to the U16.4 Boy’s team coached by Wayne Savory and our players, Daniel, Bradley, Patrick, Chayto, Jess, Brett and our two fill in, Jack and Mosa.

Our team plan for the tournament was to play hard and have fun.

4th game:  Waverley 4 Vs Doncaster (Score: 27 – 32)
It was a 8.50am game at Ringwood against Doncaster. Well, we found out our boys aren’t the early birds. We started off slow and let Doncaster get a head start. Our boys had to work hard and unfortunately, too many turnovers which let this game slip away to a 5 point loss.

We were against Ringwood 3. In this game, all the boys took it up another level. Mosa (our fill in) who in this game had a blinder shooting of 18 points.

After playing 6 games with 5 wins and 1 loss, we have proceeded to the Grand Final against Dandenong Rangers yesterday afternoon. We have been facing this team since grading with a loss by one point, then us winning by one point and 2 weeks ago winning by 7 points. We knew it would be a hard game. The grand final started off not the way we would have liked. We were fouling quickly and Dandenong went out to a 10 points lead half way through the first half. Our boys settled down and at half time we were in front by 2 points (21-19). During the second half, our boys continued to lead. Even though our shots were dropping but our defence was strong. Our team fought hard and with their great effort, we defeated Dandenong by 13 points (49 -36) and won the tournament.  Also congratulations to our Grand Final MVP, Jess Fung

I would like to thank all of the boys for their commitment over the weekend and to all of the parents for their support, and our team manager Candy.
