PLAYER REGISTRATIONS
Representatives for senior teams are reminded the importance of registering players officially and ensuring team lists are correct. If a player is unregistered, they are classified as ‘illegal players’ and will not receive statistics/qualifications and are not covered by insurance incase of injury and cannot play finals.
Additional players adding their name on ‘Livescore’ monitors will automatically create them as an ‘Emergency Player’ ONLY. To register and become qualified as regular player, please pay $6.00 to the cashier’s booth for registration and insurance at the arrival of their second game. Playing a person under another player's name or entering information without full details renders player ‘illegal’ (as above) and teams will not be rewarded game points.
GAME START REMINDER
Waverley requires all games to commence accordingly to their scheduled time. All games will run accordingly to the game clock built into the system compatible with the scoreboards. There is a green countdown timer prior to each game, and audio cues informing teams “Two minutes to game start” and “One minute to game start.” Teams must pay attention to this countdown and be on the court ready to start the game when the countdown expires. The official running game clock will start after this countdown, even if players are not in the centre, so be sure to be there immediately. The stadium needs all teams to be ready to help the overall night and future games begin on time successfully.
If you believe there will be a colour clash then the first named team (team on the left of the screen) gets priority. It is the team on the right of the screen which needs to organize alternative tops BEFORE the scheduled start time.
GRADING PHASE
Please be patient during the grading phase, as movement of teams, late registrations, and teams that may pull out of the competition can seem a little chaotic. However, the office is in control, and your team and game time WILL NOT be effected unless we contact you individually. If the fixture does not reflect identically to the version first posted, you will notice your games will still have not changed.
This season we have teams on waiting lists for most competitions. All teams are reminded to have their entry forms and payment in before the end of grading or we will not re-fixture you for the full season.
JAMWARE ONLINE
Jamware Online provides ‘digital services’ that allows statistical data to be recorded for all players. This additional information is available at $3.00 per account. This charge is submitted online using a credit card in a secure form directly with ‘Jamware.’ SMS game time reminders and results can also be turned on at the Waverley website home page.
If you choose not to sign up for the ‘statistics vault’ the public website has access to fixtures, ladders, downloads, resources, news and other important items for all competitions. Visit www.waverleybasketball.com
