Porter performs to pick up POTW

It was Suzi Porter’s brilliant display for Waverley on the weekend which earned her the State Championship Women’s Round Three Player of the Week.
Porter was a pivotal player in the Falcons’ narrow three-point victory against Geelong on Sunday at The Arena, bagging herself an equal-round-high 18 points at a credible 61.5 per cent from the field.
The experienced player also managed five rebounds in her 29 minutes of court-time.
The league congratulates Porter on her Round Three efforts.

Other contenders for Round Three include;
- Geelong’s Amy Wormald put on a dapper display, managing 10 points and nine boards in the Cats tight two-point loss to Waverley on Sunday. Wormald is proving to be a great recruit for the Geelong outfit, proving this week her consistency.
- Megan McIntyre was a shining light for Diamond Valley during Round Three, collecting 15 points and six boards against Hume City in Game of the Round on Sunday. She backed up from an 11-point, six rebound game on Saturday night against Bulleen in the Eagles five-point loss.
- Bulleen’s Lisa Pardon once again proved herself a crucial investment in the Boomers outfit, posting some solid numbers in Round Three. Pardon collected 16 points and seven boards in Bulleen’s five-point win against Diamond Valley.
- Melbourne Tigers’ pair Hope Terdich (15 points, 11 boards) and Bec Campagli (18 points, four boards) were stand-outs in the Tigers’ five-point win against Eltham.
