Competitions Information Recap

After a great start to senior competition in 2021 - we thought we would share a recap on what we have learnt this first week.

-        Players are not required to sign in using the QR code, as they are recorded on PlayHQ and the score boards.

-        All spectators and scorers, not listed on the computers, must sign in using the QR code (BSO’s will check during matches). QR codes can be found upon entry to the stadium.

The Junior Competition commences this weekend, and processes will be slightly different.  Please show the doorkeeper your "green tick" as you enter all venues.

-        There are no individual payments for entry.

-        New ‘COVID-Safe Green Level’ entry/exit procedures apply. We ask for your support in adhering to these new procedures, which support WBA in: maintaining social distance; limiting congestion; and, regular cleaning of high touch areas such as handrails and foyers throughout games.

-        The new Scoring Rule was well received. Unfortunately, a number of score benches had excessive spectators crowding this space. Please ensure scorers and spectators sit in their designated areas to promote social distancing and the avoidance of congested areas.

-        WBA now has the option to pay via card. Many senior teams have opted to go cashless, however, please note using cards incurs a 1.5% surcharge transaction fee.

-        Monday nights at Oakleigh Stadium were a huge success.  For The best entry/exit doors for MONDAY are the far right glass double doors (closest to Park Road).

The Junior Competition must use the main entrance with the big sign "STADIUM ENTRY" so that all visitors can be checked for QR Code Sign In purposes by WBA's Biosafety Officer.

-        Please do not forget to register new players to PlayHQ using your unique team link.  This link can be used throughout the season, and WBA will do regular data consolidations with PlayHQ.

-        Please remember water fountains are closed. Players are encouraged bring full water bottle. For mid-week competitions water is available for purchase at the vending machine (coins only). For junior weekend competitions water is available for purchase at the canteen also.

- The 2021 Junior Domestic Practice Game 1 Fixture is now live. Head to the Junior Domestic drop down on our website to view.

We would like to thank everyone for their ongoing support and participation as we return to basketball! Please share this information with your teammates.

Regards,

WBA
