Youth League 2 Men escape Chelsea with a Win

Waverly 100 dft Chelsea 99

As Chelsea played host to Waverly on Saturday night, they very nearly provided the biggest upset of the round, falling agonisingly short in a 1 point loss to the highly-favoured Falcons.
Chelsea, with 1 win from their first 10 games, were unlucky to come away empty-handed after the scores were tied at three-quarter time.
Game MVP Lloyd Marshall led the Gulls’ charge with 26 points while Ricki De Haan added 23.
Elias Polioyiannis found his range with 21 points, connecting on 4 three’s, while Andrew Kelly’s 21 points and 10 rebounds were invaluable.
The win should be considered a near escape for the Falcons and send a warning to the league that the Gulls are not as beatable as their record suggests.
