Falcons swoop as business end approaches

The Falcons are on the march as finals approach in the 2018 Big V season.

All four teams have worked their way into finals positions after a clean sweep in Round 14, however the task is now to keep winning and cement those places.

The State Championship Men bounced back from a rough patch by winning on the road against Keilor by double figures. The win puts the Falcons right back into what it a very close race for second spot.

The State Championship Women sit comfortably in the top two after defeating Bulleen at home. The Falcons are only a couple of wins away from sealing a top-two finish.

The youth sides are also travelling nicely, the Victorian Youth Championship Women have continued their late season charge, defeating Bulleen and sneaking into the top-four for the first time this season holding onto a finals berth by a perilous half-a-gamer with two rounds to play.

The Youth League 1 Men had two solid wins in an important double header, currently sitting second, the Falcons will be eying off top spot, which they currently sit behind by just one win, also with just two rounds remaining.

This Saturday Night sees the Youth Championship Women at home in a must-win game against Ballarat, with a tough last round matchup against Nunawading, this is a game the Falcons simply have to have and it will make for great viewing. Tip-off is at 8:15pm.

Sunday afternoon sees a men's double-header against the Hume City Broncos, youth at 12:30pm followed by the Champ Men at 2:30pm. This Broncos are always tough and now that we are in the final straight, these games should be plenty intense.
