Finals in sight for Falcons, but Hawks waiting first

Big V finals are just a week away and the Falcons State Championship teams will kick into finals mode this weekend with a Round 18 Double Header against local rivals the Ringwood Hawks.

Both the Falcons men and women’s teams are still in the hunt for a top two spot, which would earn them and extra chance in finals, however wins in Sunday’s double header are desperately needed to make this happen. There’ll be nothing left on the floor as the Falcons look to head into finals on the best possible note and with the best possible chance.

The rivalry between Waverley and Ringwood is well documented, and the quality and consistency of each outfit has led to some memorable finals clashes over the years. Fans will get treated to finals-like basketball a week early this year as all four teams on court look to sure up their positions within the finals picture and iron out any last details before the business really begins. Although with so much on the line, it’s kind of like finals begin this week anyway.

Get around the Falcons as make their charge towards the 2017 Big V Championship.
