Packed house for Falcons - Taiwan nailbiter

The Falcons Big V Men edged out the Chinese-Taipei national team in a thrilling exhibition game in front of a full house at Waverley on Thursday Night.

The special event attracted the largest non-finals crowd in recent memory and the fans were treated to an electric game of basketball.

In the end it was the Falcons who prevailed by just four foints, with both teams hitting the ton and them some.

It was a fantastic event and a great thrill to welcome our international friends to the Falcons Nest.

There isn't much rest for the Falcons as they hit the road this week as they look to continue their winning streak in the lead up to finals.

For Falcons fans really keen on getting back to the Nest to see some more action, we have a Victorian Youth Championship Double-Header this Sunday, July 2.

The Vic Youth Men are coing off an overtime win against Altona and are looking up and about at the moment, they have a chance to add another W this week against a young Sherbrooke team. The Vic Youth Women meanwhile have found things tough lately after their great start, with injuries taking their toll. They can still make a run at things this season though and will be ready to give it absolutely everything this Sunday against Kilsyth.
