Men's Double Header Saturday Night, VYC Women Sunday

The Falcons men will be looking for a lift from some new faces as they welcome back some former Falcons to the Nest this Saturday Night.

Gun recruit Jason Reardon has come on board for the Falcons, the perennial All Star 5 member coming across after a very successful time leading Corio Bay. After dipping his toes last weekend, the Falcons will look to reardon to step up alongside the Falcons other big names when they take on McKinnon this week. Import big Desmond Simmons announced himself to the league with a rare 20 point-20 rebound game last week, in a round where the Falcons split the double-header with one win and one loss.

The game will mark the return of longtime Falcon Ivan Platenik to the Nest for the first time since joining McKinnon during the off-season. Platenik is one of a number of seasoned SCM players who have helped guide McKinnon to a big start in season 2017, most recently knocking over Ringwood. Alongside Platenik is former Falcons skipper Luke Neilson, also lining up for the Cougars this season.

Fans who arrive early at the Nest on Saturday will get to enjoy the Youth Men taking on the Sandringham Sabres. The weekend's action continues on Sunday when the Youth Women host Bendigo.

Keen Falcons fans can also head across to the State Basketball Centre on Sunday to see the Falcons Championship Men and Women take on the Knox Raiders.
