The Falcons Women's team may well possess the best 'dynamic duo' in the league.
After all the talk last week surrounded Melbourne Boomers WNBL player Tegan Cunningham's run of great form, fellow WNBL star Kate Oliver turned it on this week as the Falcons notched two wins.
Oliver was all over the court on Saturday Night against Bulleen, and treated home fans to an array of moved around the hoop, as well as mid-range and perimiter jumpers in the win over Southern Peninsula.
Here's what www.bigv.com.au had to say in awarding Oliver 'Player of the Week':
"Congratulations to Waverley Falcons SCW star Kate Oliver on her brilliant back-to-back performance in Round 17.
Oliver steered the ship when the Falcons edged out fellow finals contender Bulleen, notching 29 points, 12 rebounds and four blocks in a stellar performance.
She backed that up with another double double, this time against fourth placed Southern Peninsula with 18 points and 11 rebounds.
Congratulations to Kate as the Falcons look to make some noise this post-season.
