Form is on the Falcons' side as Big V finals rapidly approach.
Wins to both the Men and Women on the weekend see both teams well placed to make a run in postseason action, however there is one more big test to get through before the real business begins.
Both teams headed to Bulleen on Saturday Night to take on the Boomers and both came away with handy wins, while the women backed up on Sunday at home against fellow finals candidates Southern Peninsula.
The Falcons this week play host to the McKinnon Cougars in a big Sunday Double Header, the last round before finals.
The Cougars present a genuine challenge to both teams, with quality imports and NBL and WNBL level talent gracing both teams.
This will not only be a great test for the Falcons before finals, but for both teams it might in fact be the game which decides finals places, double chances and match ups for the first round. There's no doubting it's a big double header and one which Falcons fans won't want to miss.
This past weekend also marked the final games for our youth teams for the season. It's been a tough season for both teams, however there's an upside. The Youth Men showed great improvement through the back end of the season and were consistently competitive and won plenty of games over the 'back nine'. Wins became tough to come by for the youth women, but valuable games and experience into young players always bodes well for the future.
Get set for some very exciting weeks of Big V action, the best is yet to come in 2016.
