Cunningham heats up as finals approach

With the Falcons State Championship Women eyeing off a finals campaign, WNBL star Tegan Cunningham couldn't have picked a better time to hit her best form in a Falcons singlet.

The newly signed Melbourne Boomer has been absolutely scorching lately, dropping three 40+ point games in the past month as well as dialling in plenty of rebounds, assists, blocked shots and pretty much everything else you can do at basketball short of selling tickets at the front door.

Cunningham's run has come at the same time as a string of good form for the Falcons women, who return home this week to face the Southern Peninsula Sharks. With just two weeks until post-season action gets underway, the action has never been better on the floor and each game from this point on should be a ripper.

This weekend also marks the final home games for a Victorian Youth Championship teams for this season. It's been a bit of a roller coast for both the Youth Men and Youth Women, and they'll both hope to end on a good note. The Youth Men are coming off a good win last weekend against Eltham, while the Women has a nice weekend off to gear up for a big final effort.
