A solid team effort led by big man Matt Hodgeson has seen the Falcons register their most impressive win since round one at the Falcon Nest on Sunday.

The visiting Knox Raiders came in with an undefeated record in their season of Big V Championship, however the Falcons were up to the test and defended their home floor with a quality display.

After a sketchy couple of weeks, the win cements the Falcons back up among the league's elite as the ladder begins to take shape a third of the way through the season.

The Falcons women also faced an undefeated Knox team, and although they took the fight right to the Raiders early, they ended up falling short in this one.

Both teams are on the road this weekend. There is only one game at the Falcon Nest, the Vic Youth Championship Women taking on Bendigo on Sunday afternoon, May 15, at 2pm.
