The U/20-1 Boys coached by Paul Stirton won the U20 Victorian Junior League 1 Grand Final when they defeated top of the ladder Broadmeadows 70 to 44. Waverley made a strong start on the back of Jason Conway’s hot shooting and jumped out to a handy lead in the first half. As you would expect Broadmeadows rallied and closed the lead to single digits. After half time Waverley steadied and once again extended their lead to a comfortable margin thanks in part to Andrew Kelly’s big second half, where he scored most of his 22 points for the game.
