A mulfunction of the height adjusting mechanism on one of the Court 2 backboards unforunately led to the cancellation of six Monday Men's games on August 17. WBA apologises to the affected teams for not getting their game on Monday.

The backboard has now been fixed and competition will continue as normal from Tuesday, August 18 on all courts.

Although the rings, backboards, padding and supports are regularly serviced and maintained, it is a timely reminder for all Junior Domestic Clubs and other members who lower and raise rings during the week of the safe and proper way to do so.

WBA provides the opportunity to clubs to use lowered rings for training on the condition that those lowering and raising rings are strong enough to do so and have been shown the correct way. WBA staff are always happy to assist with adjusting rings, or demonstrating the technique club members.
