The Waverley Falcons State Championship Men have finished the regular season in third place on the ladder and as such have earned a home elimination final this week against the Bulleen Boomers.
The Falcons men were very good in their final round of the regular season, winning both games of their home double header, including a heart-stopping Brad Kelleher game winner on Saturday Night.
While a top two finish eluded them due to the head-to-head point differential with Corio Bay, the Falcons are hitting the finals in great form and will be ready to go on their home floor on Sunday.
Finals Basketball is always the best Basketball and the Falcons have championship aspirations. One of the premier front courts in the league, led by perennial star Ivan Platenik and the big man Chris Cameron, headline a line up that features classy and savvy Point Guard Sedale Threatt, and sharp shoorting wing combo Brad Kelleher and Chris Arkell. The Falcons also bat deep, with multiple scoring threats coming off the bench to give the Falcons a roster that is potent at all times.
Get down to the Falcon Nest this Sunday for what is sure to be a cracking game, with the winner moving within one game of the Grand Final, and the loser heading into the off-season. It will be all on the line and the action will be intense!

The Falcons Women play a 'survice and advance' elimination final on Saturday Night, also against Bulleen.
It has been a bit of a roller coaster season for the Falcons Women, who have battled some key injuries at reach post-season action, but when they are at their best the Falcons are a dynamic and entertaining team.
The women will be at East Doncaster Secondary College on Saturday at 6pm. If they can get this win, they will move on to the next round of finals to play the loser of Ringwood and Southern Peninsula.
